Direct parcel from China earns $2.50 more per unit than Overseas 3PL warehouse, mostly from: Inbound freight $2.50.
- Direct parcel from China: One unit per customs entry, so clearance charges are not shared. No storage, but the international parcel rate is the highest per unit.
- Overseas 3PL warehouse: Bulk first leg spreads clearance over the whole shipment; the 3PL charges storage and pick/pack, and the last mile is a domestic rate.
- Platform warehouse (FBA / FBT): Pick, pack and delivery are bundled into the platform fulfillment fee. Best delivery speed, and often a ranking benefit.
- Own warehouse: Same flow as a 3PL but at your own cost base — usually the cheapest per unit once volume covers the fixed cost.

All platform fee rates, duty rates and freight rates in this tool are configurable placeholders. They are not verified official rates and must be confirmed against the platform seller centre, the HTS/CBP schedules and your own freight forwarder before you rely on them.
Landed cost is goods, freight, insurance, duty and clearance — everything paid before the unit is sellable. Three details decide the answer and most tools get them wrong: whether duty is assessed on FOB or CIF value, how many duty lines stack on the same entry, and how many units share the brokerage fee. That last one is why a direct parcel and a container can differ by several dollars a unit on identical goods. The result is always shown on a DDP basis, because what a unit is worth does not depend on who writes the cheque.
